Avelina Fuentes was born in 1983 in Mexico, she lives and work in Paris. After a Master in Plastic Art and Sciences in Art in the Sorbonne University, she shows her work in France, Mexico, China and United States.

The process of Genenis and Morphogenesis –life and forms birth – are in the heart of Avelina’s artistic research. The constant necessity of the human mind to make the world more understandable leads us to identify patterns inside universe. Thus, to reduce complexity that surrounds us, our instinct pushs us to decompose what we observe in modules. This narrow-looking idea has evolved into a much more organic and liquid concept, offering an infinite array of representations and then combinations.

The artist tries to reveal the underlying modules ubiquitous in our universe and to recreate different arrangements of material by exploring new models and forms.
